The developmental biology of immune cells

  • The phenotype of immune cells is regulated by precise upstream signaling and downstream gene expression circuits. We create therapeutics to guide the development of immune cells for immunotherapy.

The protein glycosylation and cell/microbiome interactions

  •  We interfere the process of cell migration, adhesion, as well as cell recognition, based on glycobiology and gene regulation.  We seek to understand the role of protein glycosylation in infectious disease and cancer. 

Drug delivery

  • We develop synthetic or biological drug delivery systems for small molecules, nucleic acids, and macromolecules. These delivery vectors aim to achieve targeted delivery or improve the pharmacokinetic profile of the loaded drug.
